I started going to this school November 24th 2025. I’m currently in the welding program, it’s overall been fine, nice staff whatever. But as of recently, I’ve been sick. I struggle with some chronic health issues that make me miss school sometimes, and it never seems like it’s been an issue to them. I came in the other day and was completely fine in the morning, started to not feel the best later on. Ended up feeling like I was going to pass out and my anxiety got really bad due to it, so it was making things 1000x worse. I couldn’t drive, I couldn’t get a ride home, and I don’t have enough money for a uber. Had to eventually call 911 because how I was feeling kept getting worse, I could barely walk. So, I ended up going to the hospital, the next freaking day I get to school.. they pull me out of class ask me a bunch of personal questions, I did end up saying I’ve been kinda depressed or whatever. So they asked me if I’ve been self medicating and went on to talk about how they’ve known other students who have self medicated and so on. I tell them I don’t and that I never had straight up mind you this is the only time they’ve ever done this to me before. they kept pushing the self m

The LPN program at Fortis College is completely disorganized and unstable. Instructors and administration constantly contradict themselves, creating confusion and stress for students. Even the Dean will act one way with you and then completely change their stance later. Administration will tell students one thing, then backtrack and claim they never said it, leaving students feeling gaslit and powerless. Students are routinely tested on material that has not yet been taught. In some cases, the content isn’t even covered until the night after the exam, yet students are still failed without being given clear explanations, feedback, or guidance on what they should have studied differently. There is little to no transparency in grading. The courses have essentially become self-taught, despite the extremely high tuition. Students are expected to succeed without proper instruction or academic support. From the very beginning, the program sets students up for failure. Administration makes it clear that they do not care about their students, what students say, or what they are going through personally or academically. When students question policies, grades, or expectations, it is immed

If I could give less than one star I would. This school is the worst. Thier RN program can't even keep Dean's of Nursing, teachers, or clinical site contracts for very long. They test thier students on material that isn't taught until the same night after the test is given then fail the student without even giving them the reason why or what should have been studied more on the student's part. The courses at this point are self taught by the student. They set you up for failure from the start.Thier lab equipment and mannequins are falling apart. This school just wants as much money as they can squeeze out of you. I highly recommend NOT going to this school.

Let me start by saying I completed and graduated from this nursing program. However, I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. At first everything was good, but the Dean of nursing left and was replaced with someone who feeds off the misery of struggling students. If making money is this school top priorty then they hired the right person for the job because every opportunity to fail a student has and continues to be taken. As we all know life has a way of throwing curve balls, but in unfortunate circumstances there is no grace shown here. They say "I'm a rule follower," but in fact they are the villain consumed with power seeking to destroy lives.

Losing students left and right because of dissatisfaction of learning experience. Admin doesn't know what they're doing and actively fight the teachers giving them a hard. I had some external issues going on but I'm not the only one just "not feeling up to coming because they don't feel like it's worth it". Counselors don't help with this issue. They only put their stamp of recommendation to get students into jobs to get them to shut up. Takes advantage of people needing jobs by driving up the price to the level of an actual college (which they can't run it like one and most people I talk to about college in general thinks it's not worth it). Honestly thinking working at Walmart isn't so bad except I can't pay off my loans at $15 per hour. Definitely not worth it.
